On 29th October 2014, former Provost Tom Mitchell delivered a lecture to members of the Association entitled ‘Ageing and the Life of the Mind’. The Association was delighted to welcome Professor Mitchell and those attending the lecture found it both stimulating and thought-provoking. A reception was held after the event where discussion and general conversation continued.
Forty-five participants enjoyed a day trip to Kilkenny on 9th September 2014. We left Nassau Street in Dublin at 9.15am and stopped at Leighlinbridge for tea/coffee. During the summer of 2014, the Association sought approval from the College to use the College crest on its stationery and website. The Association is pleased to advise members that in August 2014, the College Secretary gave permission to the Association to use the College crest for a three year period.
A member of the Association initiated the establishment of a social cycling group. It had its first outing in July 2014 and there have been several trips since then. If you would like to join this group, please contact us.
