A heavy downpour in the early morning deterred some of our participants so a smaller than usual group walked around Massy’s Wood led by Frank Tracy. We were fortunate in that we only had to shelter once for five minutes or so. Frank was entertaining as usual and also full of information about the estate, the family, and the gardens. It really is a beautiful place to visit, with its exotic trees and the river running through it. Some photos are in the Gallery.
