Jane Maxwell’s lecture – 17th September 2015

The Henry Jones Room in the Old Library was filled to capacity for Jane Maxwell’s lecture entitled

‘How did THAT get here?;  The weird and wonderful objects

that lurk in among the Library’s manuscript collection’

We were all enthralled as Jane showed us various items and shared their stories and background.  One item of particular note was Daniel O’Connell’s hat, and very large it was too!

The members of the Trinity Retirement Association are very grateful to Jane for giving us such an enjoyable talk.

Jane Maxwell is Principal Archivist in the Manuscripts and Archives Research Library in Trinity. She is the Library’s expert on post-Medieval manuscripts, with a deep knowledge of the Library’s extensive collections of modern materials.
