There was significant demand for the guided tour of the Chester Beatty Library on 11 November 2015 and it booked out fairly quickly. We were restricted to 30 bookings which represented two groups, each of fifteen people. We met beforehand for coffee in the Silk Road Café in the CBL. The tours started just after 11am, and although they were due to take about an hour, our guide James (who was excellent) was still talking at 12.45pm, and without a single note or prompt. It was a delightful tour and many thanks to James, one of the volunteer guides at the CBL.
