Royal Canal Walk

Dear members You are invited to join a Royal Canal walk on May 27th from Leixlip Confey station to Maynooth. We will meet at 11 am outside Leixlip Confey station and walk the 8km to Maynooth. This should take just a little over 2 hours.  There are several options for lunch in Maynooth, but nothing much on the way. Emer Dennehy, Project Archaeologist with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), will talk about the results of the archaeological works performed for the construction of the Luas Cross-City line – a 5.9km extension of Dublin’s Green Line, running from St. Stephen’s Green to Broombridge via the city centre.
