Dear Members,
One of our members, Claire Laudet, will lead a walk on Howth Head on Monday 23rd March.
We will meet at 10.30 outside Howth DART Station. The proposed walk (Black Linn Loop, see https://www.discoverireland.ie/Activities-Adventure/black-linn-loop/71516 or https://www.irishtrails.ie/Trail/Howth—Black-Linn-loop/109/ for details) is 8 km long and should take 2 and a half hour plus the duration of the coffee break at the Summit Inn, about half way. After the coffee break, there is the option of a slightly shorter route back to Howth Dart Station ( the Tramline Loop). Depending on numbers and the availability of a second walk ‘leader’, we may be able to facilitate those who wish for a shorter walk. The terrain is rougher than on our previous walks and walking boots or strong shoes are recommended. The walk is very safe but the first half follows the coast line on top of the cliffs at times and people prone to vertigo may find it slightly daunting. Should the weather be bad, we may decide to cancel.
This event is for members only.
If you wish to join us on the walk you may reserve a place using our online ticket system below.
