You are invited to a tour of two newly refurbished buildings in College: the Rubrics and the Chief Steward’s house on Thursday 20th April at 12.00 noon. Numbers are limited to 15 given the size of rooms in the building.
The Rubrics is the oldest building on campus and was built around 1700. The upper floor was added in 1894. The recently completed refurbishment includes geothermal heat pumps to meet the energy demands of nearby buildings.
The Chief Steward’s House was designed by John McCurdy and built in 1861 by Fetherstone builders as a lodge for the chief steward at a cost of £900
Booking opens at 1pm on April 7th and closes at 11pm on April 18th. .
