You are invited to join us for a walk around the NATIONAL STUD AND JAPANESE GARDENS ON TUESDAY 30th MAY. Information on the National Stud and the Japanese Gardens can be found at https://irishnationalstud.ie/visitors/.
There is a café in the National Stud where you can have a tea/coffee beforehand. The walk will depart from the main reception area at 11am. Please note that the ENTRANCE FEE IS €9.50 for those aged 60+ and will be payable on the day.
The walk will be led by Mr Frank Tracy who is a very experienced walk leader and who many of you have met on earlier walks.
DIRECTIONS BY CAR: From the M50, exit at junction 9 for the M7. Continue on the M7 until junction 13 which is the exit for Kildare/Nurney/Kildangan. Follow the signs to the Stud, which is about 3 minutes from the motorway exit. (The journey takes about 35 minutes from exit 9 on the M50 to the Stud.)
LIFTS: If anyone travelling by car is willing to offer a lift to others, please let me know. If you need a lift, please let me know and I will see if something can be arranged.
DISCLAIMER / FOOTWEAR / OUTERWEAR: Please note that if you participate in this walk, you must take full responsibility for yourself and be aware that you participate at your own risk. Participants will be asked to complete a Disclaimer form before setting out. It is important that you have sturdy footwear – walking shoes or boots with ridged soles for grip – particularly in wet weather. You should also have appropriate outerwear and be prepared for rain.
Please let me know if you will be joining the walk so that we have an idea of the number of people to expect. You can sign up on the website (below), or you can send an email to info@tcdretired.ie.
