You are invited to join other members of the Association and their guests for a walk from Bushy Park to Grand Canal Dock.
The walk will be led by one of our members and will depart from the Bandstand in Bushy Park at 10:30 and walk (mostly) along the banks of the Dodder until just before it enters the Liffey.
The route is almost all on surfaced paths and is mostly off the road, there are some short road sections. There is a possible stop for a coffee in the Dropping Well in Milltown.
The walk is about 10Km, so it should take about 2 and a half hours, including the coffee stop. As would be expected, it is almost all downhill. There are several places along the route that could be used to cut the walk short, with plenty of bus access.
We will finish up at Grand Canal Dock where there DART, LUAS and bus services nearby. This is a point to point walk with both end points well served by public transport.
There are a wide range of buses from town that serve Bushy Park: 15, 49, 65, 65B, 15B, 15D, 16
Coming from Blackrock, the 17 and Dun Laoghaire the 75 bring you quite close.
If travelling by car, the 15 and 15B pass Grand Canal Dock for the return journey.
