You are invited to join a Royal Canal walk on May 27th from Leixlip Confey station to Maynooth.

We will meet at 11 am outside Leixlip Confey station and walk the 8km to Maynooth. This should take just a little over 2 hours.  There are several options for lunch in Maynooth, but nothing much on the way.

Please bring comfortable shoes (but the tow path is mostly tarmac or gravel). Depending on the forecast on the day, waterproofs may be advisable.

There is a train (Maynooth line) leaving Connolly station at 10:17, calling at Drumcondra, Broombridge (connection with Luas), Pelletstown, Ashtown, Navan Road Parkway, Castleknock, Coolmine and Clonsilla).

Bus options are more limited: L58 and L59 from Hazelhatch station, L54 from Red Cow Luas but they are not very frequent. There are more buses going through Leixlip but please note that the train station is outside the town, up  quite a steep hill!
