We are off to the woods to pick a few edible mushrooms on Friday 20 October at Powerscourt Estate.  Our guides will be Paul and Valerie Dowding.

We will meet at the front of Powerscourt House at 11h00. The hunt will end at about 12h30.

Maybe bring a bag with you in case you wish to bring some morels home.The plan is to quarter the beech trees lining the main driveway into the estate.

The Avoca restaurant is a good place to have coffee before we set off or for lunch afterwards.

There is ample parking just beyond the garden shop and the new distillery. There is limited bike parking at the right side of the gate into Avoca shop.
