Marlay Park is an 86 hectares suburban public park located in Rathfarnham in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. Lying about nine kilometres from Dublin city centre, the parkland comprises woodlands, ponds and walks. Marlay House, the 18th-century Georgian house on the grounds, was originally owned by David La Touche, the first governor of the Bank of Ireland.
We plan to meet at 2pm on 12th October and take a 4km loop walk around the grounds. We will meet in front of Marley House. Adjacent to the house is a tea room, a crafts courtyard and a well maintained walled garden. We can get refreshments in the tea rooms and the courtyard.
There is a large car park at the entrance, off Grange Road.
We intend to limit numbers attending to 20.
Please book on line following the email sent to members. Bookings close on 10th October
