Great opportunity to try out lawn bowls under the kind guidance of members of the St James Gate Bowling Club (founded 1928). The Club will also be providing ‘woods’ – apparently that’s what bowling balls are called!   Total beginners are very welcome.

There will be sandwiches available across the road in Birchalls pub, Bangor Drive, at 1pm. We would appreciate if you could also book  as Birchalls needs to know numbers for catering purposes.  You can pay on the day .

There is parking available at the Iveagh Grounds.

Buses to Iveagh Grounds from city centre: 27, 56A, 77A, 151, 123, 122 (around 25 minutes  bus ride).

Parking will be provided from 10:30am. The barrier will either be raised, or one can simply ring the intercom and access will be granted

Booking opens on Wednesday 23rd August and closes for Lawn Bowls on the 9th September and on the 7th of September for Lunch at Birchall’s.
