The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
The National Theatre of Great Britain returns to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre as part of Dublin Theatre Festival 2015, with the multi award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Based on the award-winning novel by Mark Haddon, adapted by Simon Stephens and directed by Marianne Elliott, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a thrilling new stage play.
Christopher, fifteen years old, has an extraordinary brain – exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion of killing Mrs Shears’ dog, it takes him on a journey that upturns his world…
The central role of Christopher will be played by Joshua Jenkins. He is joined by Geraldine Alexander as Siobhan, Chris Ashby (alternate Christopher), Emmanuelle Cole (Punk Girl), Edward Grace (Mr Thompson), Gina Isaac (Judy) and Stuart Laing (Ed).
Please note: There is some strong language in this production, as there is in the novel. This occurs at the very beginning of the show and infrequently at other points during the show.
Loud sound effects, high intensity lighting and video effects (including strobe lighting) feature in the production.
