Members of the Association have been invited again this year by the Herbert Park Croquet Club to play croquet at the Club. This event was arranged for Thursday 16th June and had to be postponed due to the weather. It has now been re-scheduled for Thursday 7th July.
You can join this group and play croquet without any prior knowledge of the game. All equipment will be provided although it may be necessary to share mallets. Sixteen players can play at the same time but games can be 30 minutes or less so spectators will not have long to wait before they can have their turn to play. Participants are asked to wear flat soled shoes.
Tea/coffee and snacks are available from the café beside the lawns. Non-playing members are invited to join the group in the Herbert Park café from 3pm.
There is no parking at the Club although we understand there is limited free parking after 2pm on part of one side of Herbert Park Road between the lower and upper gates (the same side as the croquet lawns). Please check the parking notice.
Participants will be asked to make a voluntary contribution of €10 on the day to support the Club’s activities.
The Association would like to thank one of its members, Robert Barklie, for the invitation to visit the Herbert Park Croquet Club.
