You are invited to a talk on Zoom entitled ‘An Immodest Proposal; Wine and Health’ by Shaun McCann on Tuesday October 26th 2021 at 11 am.

Shaun McCann was Consultant Haematologist, St James’ Hospital, from 1983 to 2009 and was National Medical Director of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, by invitation of the Minister of Health from 2005 to 2006. He was Professor of Academic Medicine, TCD, from 2005 to 2011.

The Lecture will cover the following topics; Pregnancy as a metaphor for wine production, Sex: why women are better wine tasters than men! Health: the Resveratrol story and, The Bauhaus and wine labels.
