Iggy McGovern has agreed to deliver readings of his poems entitled “I liked the early stuff,,,” via Zoom at 11am on September 29th 2020 .

This not so gentle put down casts writers as progressive and readers as regressive. But, does it hold true for the writer as well? In this reading of my poems, I will be reflecting on this idea, noting that some themes survive to the (bitter?) end…
Iggy McGovern TCD
Iggy McGovern is Fellow Emeritus in Physics at Trinity College. He has published three collections of poetry with Dedalus Press – The King of Suburbia (2005), Safe House (2010) and The Eyes of Isaac Newton (2017). His verse biography of Irish mathematician William Rowan Hamilton, A Mystic Dream of 4 (2013) is published by Quaternia Press. Awards include The Hennessy Award for Poetry and The Glen Dimplex New Writers Award for Poetry.
