Dear Members,
The Executive Committee of the Retirement Association have organised a Bird “Safari” at Booterstown Marsh on Friday February 22nd. Aidan Kelly, a very knowledgeable and experienced bird watcher will introduce us to the birds that frequent the Marsh at this time of year. He will have the necessary equipment for viewing which we will be able to use and if you have your own binoculars you might like to bring them with you.
We will meet for coffee at 10.15am in Gleesons on Booterstown Avenue ( the road directly opposite Booterstown Dart Station carpark and Gleesons is a short walk up and on the left hand side). We will begin the Bird “Safari “ at 11am back at the Dart Station car park.
The area is served by the Dart (running every 10mins.) and by buses 4 , 7 and 7A. There is metered car parking locally.
As always on outings we will be hoping for a dry day, but be prepared for rain and wear sensible footwear. If you haven’t walked with the association before, you will be asked to complete a disclaimer form which will be available on the day.
This outing is for members only.
We need to know how many people to expect, so if you wish to join us you may book a place on our website www.tcdretired.ie (which is our preferred option for booking) or if website booking is not possible, please send an email to info@tcdretired.ie
If for any reason you have to cancel on the day please call 0863678727
Kind regards,
Doreen Mac Raois,
On behalf of the Executive Committee
