Women Impressionists at the National Gallery of Ireland.

Wednesday September 18th. at 11:00am

Do join us for a guided visit of the current Special Exhibition at the National Gallery.

Marking the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition held in Paris in 1874, Women Impressionists focuses on four women artists who were integral to Impressionism – Berthe Morisot (1841-1895), Eva Gonzalès (1849-1883), Marie Bracquemond (1860-1914), and Mary Cassatt (1844-1926).

The exhibition explores how each of these artists navigated complex personal and professional networks to create and exhibit their art. It highlights their collective desire to make modern art and shows how they interpreted the evolving idea of Impressionism in individual ways.

It offers an extra dimension to our appreciation of the great contribution to the development of the visual arts made by the Impressionist movement through many diverse individual artists.

Booking will open on September 2nd at 9:00 am and closes on September 16th  at 11.00 pm.

The tour is limited to 30 attendees (2 groups of 15). The cost is €6.50 per person.

This tour is strictly Members only.
