‘Sacred wells of Ireland: Where does the water come from and is it good to drink?’

Bruce Misstear, Fellow Emeritus TCD

Bruce Misstear has recently completed a hydrogeological study of more than 200 of Ireland’s holy wells. His talk will seek to answer questions like: Are holy wells more common in some geologies than others? Are there differences between the water chemistries in holy wells compared to other wells? Are there linkages between the chemical characteristics and the reputed health cures associated with many wells?

More details and registrations to follow later….
