Wicklow Gaol and Kilmacurragh National Botanic Gardens – 18 May 2016

We arrived in Wicklow Gaol shortly after 10.30am and the 35 people in our group crowded into the café for a morning coffee.   Our guide then gave us an introduction to the Gaol and explained some of its history. After touring the Gaol, we departed for Hunter’s Hotel where we had an excellent lunch and some of us took the opportunity to look around the gardens.   We were on the coach again just before three o’clock for a short drive to Kilmacurragh.  We had an excellent guide in Kilmacurragh and we enjoyed wandering around the gardens in the sunshine.  Some photos are in the Gallery
