Walking Group

The Walking Group had its first walk in September 2014 when Jim Malone led a guided walk around St Ann’s Park, Raheny.  Since then, the group has had eight walks including walks in the city, in parks and in the Dublin mountains. Former Provost Tom Mitchell – lecture

On 29th October 2014, former Provost Tom Mitchell delivered a lecture to members of the Association entitled ‘Ageing and the Life of the Mind’.  The Association was delighted to welcome Professor Mitchell and those attending the lecture found it both stimulating and thought-provoking.  A reception was held after the event where discussion and general conversation continued.

Kilkenny Trip

Use of College Crest

During the summer of 2014, the Association sought approval from the College to use the College crest on its stationery and website.  The Association is pleased to advise members that in August 2014, the College Secretary gave permission to the Association to use the College crest for a three year period.

Cycling Group

Theatre Group

Members of the Association have expressed interest in forming a theatre group however the organisation of this has been delayed for a number of reasons.  We hope that once our new website is operational in the New Year, we will be better placed to arrange group outings to the theatre for our members.
